ESEM 2020 - Call for Papers The ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM) is the premier conference for presenting research results related to empirical software engineering. ESEM provides a stimulating forum where researchers and practitioners can present and discuss recent research results on a wide range of topics, in addition to exchanging ideas, experiences and challenging problems. Due to the COVID-19 pandemics, the 2020 edition of ESEM will not take place in Bari. However, we will have a proceedings-based conference and we will have ACM proceedings for all tracks. We will also recognize best paper awards. Hence, we will have to wait until 2021 to meet in beautiful Bari. *Important Dates * (All dates are end of the day, anywhere on earth) Technical Papers - Abstract May 18, 2020 (previously April 20) - Submission May 25, 2020 (previously April 27) - Notification July 6, 2020 (previously June 8) - Camera Ready July 27, 2020 (previously June 29) - Proceedings Ready October 8, 2020 Industry Papers - Submission July 20, 2020 (previously June 22) - Notification August 24, 2020 (previously July 27) - Camera-ready September 7, 2020 (previously August 10) - Proceedings Ready October 8, 2020 Emerging Results and Vision Papers - Submission July 20, 2020 (previously June 22) - Notification August 24, 2020 (previously July 27) - Camera-ready September 7, 2020 (previously August 10) - Proceedings Ready October 8, 2020 *Submissions * We invite submissions to the following tracks related to the topics of interest of the conference. - Technical Papers - Industry Papers - Emerging Results and Vision Papers Find detailed submission information on our website: https://esem2020.uniba.it *Conference Organization* General Co-Chairs Maria Teresa Baldassarre, University of Bari, Italy Filippo Lanubile, University of Bari, Italy Program Co-Chairs Marcos Kalinowski, PUC-Rio, Brazil Federica Sarro, University College of London, UK Industry Papers Co-Chairs Marcelo Cataldo, Google, USA Marcus Ciolkowski, QAware, Germany Emerging Results and Vision Papers Co-Chairs Maleknaz Nayebi, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada Pilar Rodríguez, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain Open Science Initiative Co-Chairs Fabio Calefato, University of Bari, Italy Alexander Serebrenik, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands Proceedings Chair Bruno Cartaxo, IFPE, Brazil Social Media and Publicity Co-Chairs Valentina Lenarduzzi, LUT University, Finland Silverio Martínez-Fernández, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Spain Website Chairs Vita Santa Barletta, University of Bari, Italy Simone Romano, University of Bari, Italy
